Mpeg Video Import Problems

I have encountered the error below when attempting to import a 525Mb .mpg
file into Collections.

Any ideas what may be the cause/solution?

C:\X0001.mpg could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to
fire events from
 
Windows Movie Maker does not like MPEG files. Use a third party editor...
WinDVD Creator, Roxio Videowave, NeroVision, PowerDirector, Premiere, etc
etc.

Sorry bout the 1st blank post. I am curious - is not the MPG format a
standard MOVIE format. I would expect a MOVIE MAKER to handle this commonly
used format by default. My ATI TV card will only "tape" live TV in *.VCR
format, which is proprietary, after which I have to convert to it MPG. AVI
sucks up way too much disk space. I am truly amazed. But thanks all for
clearing up the error I have been getting.
