I've actually read this already, and downloaded codecs to
no avail. Although to be honest I donwnloaded the lite
version of codecs recomended on the site and they did
include MPEG; simply it failed to correct the problem.
I Guess the question is how are the opwerable codecs
organized, it seems to be a black art. Why does WMP play
this and not MP?
My Windows Media Player plays them OK, but not the Media
Player that MS_PP relies upon (mplay32.exe).
Is there a better way to integrate an external player
like DIVX or MS_WMP that I know works fine?
I'm only trying to run bog-standard MPEG-2 files, this
shouldn't be rocket science surely.
Many thanx, & TTFN

It's probably a difference in codecs.
See

a.htm for info
on how PPT handles multimedia.

Anyone know why my PPT 2000 will play certain MPEG files
while not others?
I get no errors only a black box?
