Try using the free Quick Media Converter
to convert the .mp4 file to .wmv.

Will Moviemaker be enhanced so that it reads/imports MP4 files directly as
other other movie software does?

If your device came with Ulead software, you can use Ulead Photo Explorer to
convert to mpeg or avi format. This is the best way if you have it, as you
don't have to download any questionable software. In Photo Explorer, select
the video, go to Video tab and select Convert Video and enter your
preferences. That is all.

I have looked for the solution of this problem for years and years.

THANK YOU BIG JOE.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

it was as simple as that within my easy reach.

You cannot imagine how much grateful I am !!!!!!

Just download RealPlayer SP with all the video options (all free) and you're
all set. QuickTime player also works (and is free as well).
