G George Jun 26, 2003 #1 Hi Looking for something that does the same job as MP3Trim, but that can handle bigger file sizes.
G George Jun 27, 2003 #2 MP3DirectCut from http://www.rz.uni-frankfurt.de/~pesch/ could be used. Not nearly as easy as MP3Trim Pro though. As an alternative to both, you could split your long files, trim as necessary and then put them back together. Click to expand... Thanks, will check it out. If you were doing the latter, what would you use to split the tracks?

B Britannica Jun 27, 2003 #3 Thanks, will check it out. If you were doing the latter, what would you use to split the tracks? Click to expand... With Directcut you can join a series of cuts from an original file into a new file. Make your first selecton --> Save Selection to new file Make next selection --> Save/Append Selection to the new file you just created etc. etc Your original file remains intact...and you can also apply fade-in, fade-out, insert silence, amplify quiet sections, quieten loud sections. Great program, - worth the effort required to master it.
