mp3's and WMM

I've read several places here that wmm doesn't like mp3's. In previous
movies/dvd's when I could save in the super high quality range, the sound was
great when I made a dvd. But since my update to wmm2 everything freezes up
or shuts down when I'm saving to the high end... SO I went to a lower quality
"save" to save to the computer (to later make dvd's out of) and the sound is
awful.. popping etc. So if the mp3's are the devils doing this, what format
for music/sound do I use if not mp3? How (or can I?) convert to an
acceptable format?

Thanks tons!

You can convert them to WMA or WAV.
Actually converting to WMA is easy since you can do it with Movie Maker.
Simply drag the MP3 to the timeline without any videos and click "Save to my
computer"
You will get the same save moview wizard you are used to but with audio
options.
This "usually" works but not always.
If it doesn't check out this site for programs and information:
http://www.videohelp.com/convert
I personally like to use "Click and Convert" now called "Convert MP3" found
here:

Thanks Wojo! I'm going to give that a try!

I use WMA..but did start out w/MP3...it should NOT make a differance..I even
mix both WMA + MP3 with no tell-tale sign..clicking sounds are usually the
original capture of the audio file..BUT..if I turn my TREBLE up real
HIGH(SoundBlaster)there are "noises"..also an improper OS install might
create some in-consistencies..a trick I used in the beginning was to RUN the
EDITED Storyboard BACK to the DV-Camcorder..[CLEARS]some noise from
Transitiions..but lately I'm useing a 1024 x 768 SIZE in jpeg images..that
seems to quiet some things(slightly)..I have had CLICKS&POPS...they were from
a bad CD..../.

I hate to disagree here but it has been shown many times that "some" MP3's
do
cause problems in Movie Maker including the "popping" sounds.
I too am able to use MP3's but I too have experienced the audio glitches
from
time to time and converting to WMA always does the trick. I also have
suggested
this many many times in this NG over the last year or so and it almost
always does
the trick.
