i just receieved a legend jazz mp3 player, and eventhough windows doesnt
always recongize the usb device this is not the main problem.

when i try to send the mp3 files to my drive D, which is the usb storage, an
error comes up and says that i "cannot copy or send this file: file path does
not exist'
blah blah blah
now i have thousands of mp3's on my PC, and i know they work and i know
their location is correct
this is very frustrating, please could anyone be of assistance
much appreciated if you can
Paul

It's not clear whether the message is referring to your MP3 location or the
D: drive.

How are you trying to transfer the files?

What happens if you try to copy them somewhere other than drive D:?

Do you get this error when the MP3 player is used in another PC?

Was there any software with the mp3 player ? Did you install it before
plugging in your USB drive ?

Always install the software BEFORE you plug in the the hardware.

Cheers,
Jerry

yeh it says the mp3 location isnt correct
all im doing is right clicking the file and trying to send to removable
storage, which is my drive D.
it lets me copy the files anywhere else except on to the d drive

i havent tried it on another PC but i will when i get home

thx Mike

i just tried it on another PC and it accepted the usb connection no probs and
it accepted the file transfers with no probs either.
so whats wrong with my computer than?

Possibly a bad USB port? A/V software monitoring that drive?

Are other devices working OK through that connection - camera, webcam,
printer etc? I think the acid-test may be those devices where you have to
send data (printer, other mass-storage drives...).

Try running Windows in Safe Mode to see if the matter improves when other
software influences are eliminated.

Hi Mike, I'm haveing problems sending my MP3 file from my documents on my PC,
to my MP3 player, I have installed the software that came with the devise and
have read the instructions over and over and I actually think they missed a
line or two. ( smile) anyway I hope you have some helpful advise, have a
great day : )
