I run Powerpoint 2000 and I want to insert mp3 sound. But when I insert it,
I have different error messages which depend of the file but I never can
insert one of it. Is there a particular format of MP3 to create so as to
insert it in Powerpointor not (frequency, stereo/mono) ? ? ?
Or is that another problem ? ? ?

I mainly have these messages:
_ This not a valid MPEG system or video stream
_ Input file xxxxxx not found

Please tell us what the error messages are for the files. It may be your
MCI settings that are the problem, so read through the information at
http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/PowerPoint/multimedia.htm with special
attention to the third section titled "How Multimedia is Handled in
PowerPoint".

I have had the same problem with Powerpoint 97. I think
you will need to convert the mp3 file format to wav. A
good idea is to download a convertor. I downloaded one
from www.download.com. In the search box, just type in "
mp3 convertor" you will be able to find some good free
ones. Once you convert them to .wav files they will play
on powerpoint.
hope that helps

No, Powerpoint 2000 works with mp3 (and ot powerpoint 97). On my computer,
it was just an MCI problem.
