Seems my SanDisk MP3 player is on it's last life so thinking of replacing it?
But do I go again for SanDisk or another make/model?
About 8GB + expandable so can put audio books on it etc?
Any thoughts?

That's a lot of question marks.

Of mp3 players I'm sorry but I have not a clue.

I'm still using my pair of I-Pods, 10 years and 7 years old respectively and also my I-Phone 4.

But tbh just the phone when I'm on the move, the I-Pods at home only, mostly.

So join the 21 century and put the money for the MP3 player towards a smart phone and avoid carrying 'another thing' around with you.

Seriously, 8GB of music is bugger all, I've got close to 30GB on my 64GB phone. Buying an MP3 player for that little content is daft.

Get a cheap sim only phone (Moto G, Wilyfox Swift, LG G3 or a Nexus 5X for example) with 32GB minimum and maybe an SD card, Then as well as your own music you can use streaming services like Spotify, Google Music, Tunein Radio etc as well..

Connect via Bluetooth in the car/van/bus/whatever = music + 100's of radio stations etc.
Bluetooth speaker/soundbar etc at home? Oh look you can play your music/stream there too.
Going to the Gym? Bluetooth headphones.

:)

Checked, yes I can put music on my mobile and might do so
With train trip Holiday in Europe I don't take my mobile, mainly so work cant call me!

My spare mobile is very basic so an MP3 player is viable.

I might just buy a SanDisk and be done with it.

HTC Desire Model?
But the fact I will not take the phone on holiday the MP 3 is still needed.!!
Going to go for the one in my link, can also use at work chillin.

I just dont like being contacted when off duty or on holiday unless it's urgent.
And when on holiday someone is covering my work!!

I dont take my work phone aboard, end of!;)
But I do need an MP3 player?

Yes, my next phone might bring me in to the dizzy heights of one device for all.
But until then I will use an MP3 player, which, it seems you cant advise on as you all use your phones!!:p

Erm... I don't. I also prefer to use a dedicated MP3 player and recently purchased a new one (my old Zen is not holding a charge for very long these days.)

Anyway, the model I have chosen is this one: Sony NWZA-15A

The only reason why I have not chimed-in before this, is purely because it's so new, that I've not had much chance to use it yet. However, you can expand its 16 G internal memory with a micro SD card. Battery life is said to last around 30 hours of playback.

It supports these formats: MP3, WAV, AIFF, WMA, AAC, HE-ACC, FLAC, ALAC.
