MP3 File playback

Hello,

I am looking for documentation on how to play an .mp3 file from within my
vb.net application. I can play .wav files via the Playsound function but
searching for .mp3 samples only turns up shareware libraries. I'd prefer to
code my own rather than shell out $100 but can't seem to find anything on
the subject.

Any help finding resources would be aprpeciated.
