Hello,

I have a long mp3 file that I want to split into 2 parts, & I cannot find an
mp3 sound file editor in Vista. The only option seems to be moviemaker which
I don't think will create new mp3 files.

Am I missing something, or can anyone suggest a good download from the web
(there seem to be several there )

With thanks

Everyone should have Audacity. It's free, works fine with Vista and
provides all the editing, enhancements most need for audio files
include editing Mp3.

One catch... the Mp3 format requires a LICENSED codec. Generally
you'll need some application already on your system or install one
that provides this codec. If you can play Mp3, you probably have a
compatible codec.
