Not really sure how Active Directory has ANYTHING to do
with this??? I hope thatyou are not playing MP3s on your
servers...

At a previous job, I used to run my company's music-on-hold with mp3 files
playing on a Win2K server.
Admittedly, the company was too cheap to buy a CD player for the PABX, so
they diserve everything they get...
But my point it that it CAN be done, and there are sometimes legitimate
business reasons for doing so. At least, that's what I tell people when they
see my MP3 collection on the server.
