Hi there.

I'm using Powerpoint 2002, and I was just wondering if
there's a way to have an .mp3 play straight through a full
slide show, so that the slides advance automatically, even
while the .mp3 is playing.

Thanks a lot!

Yup - See this PPT FAQ entry:
Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it)

(Scary - I still had it selected in one of my open windows!)

Depends on what they'll be doing. If they're running around playing, you
probably need a boom mike. :-) If it's more along the lines of recording
someone standing there talking, there are some nifty little digital
voice recorders on the market now.

Additionally you can just connect a microphone to your PC's sound card and
go to Start > Run > and type sndrec.exe to use to Windows sound recorder.
Most PC's come with a pretty cheapo microphone, but you can buy a much
better one at Radio Shack, Best Buy, etc. for $30-40.

Thanks Kathryn Jacobs,

It is great to find some help in the web. I have a question...

I want to recorder kids experiences outdoors and add to my Power Point
Presentation, what do I need to buy to record their voices in good quality?

Thank you so much, Kathryn! I've been trying to get this
to work for days. I'm trying to make a Valentine's gift
for my girlfriend, and it just didn't work without the
music in the background. Now it's perfect! Thanks again!
