Does anyone know what the very large file in my WINDOWS Temp directory named
"Mp1A9.tmp" is? Can it be removed without creating a problem? This file is
80,915,493 KB -- it is taking a lot of space... My computer runs on
Microsoft Windows XP, Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3... I have
done virus and spyware scans, but it does not show up as a problem. I have
done a "Disk Cleanup" using the software on my computer, but it does not
clean up the Windows temp files as it says it should. I am tempted to just
delete this Mp1A9.tmp file, but likely it would be best removed using a
program, rather than just deleting it... Can anyone give me some suggestions
what to do?

It is a temporary file and can be deleted.

Anything in these folders can be deleted without any problems:

1) C:\Windows\Temp

2) C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Temp
NB: Replace USERNAME with your name.

Whenever you are unsure of any files, the best strategy is to rename the
file and if you don't see any adverse effect to your system for about
two weeks or so, you can delete it.

Hope this helps.
