I am using Mozilla Thunderbird VO.6 for my email. I like the program
but, it is the all time, number one, slowest program to load I've ever
seen. Is there anyway to speed it up or should I just give up?

Thanks..........

I have recently started using Thunderbird 0.6 for mail and will soon be
using for newsgroups.

From double clicking icon on desktop, takes 3 seconds to open and then
checks my two accounts.
Have you got it set up to do something (time consuming) when it opens ?

You could also try posting your query at netscape.public.mozilla-mail-news

Mike.

No. I just have it check one email account.

Doesn't it have an option where it loads into memory upon computer
bootup? That significantly reduces application startup time.

I can't see this option?

Please don't. That is not a user support group, that is a
developer forum.

The correct forums for Mozilla user questions are:
