It was released yesterday.
Remember and note the "alpha" status. You might wanna try the stable
1.7.5 version.

What do you expect from a Alpha software?
It should worst than a Beta.
Alpha is not even for the public anyway, they are normally for in house
testing.
You try these things, you should expect problems.

Steady, steady now guys! :-) I know what I'm doing, never had trouble
with the alpha's. The hardcore guys use the daily builds... :-).

I was just sad, since the extension worked in 1.8Alpha 5 but not 6.....

But that is why they are Alphas, they change some codeing and something
may go wrong that relies on that bit of coding.

I have used Beta software that do the same thing, you takes your chance.
:-)

Anyway, why are you using Mozilla? I would have thought Firefox and
thunderbird would do most what mozilla do.

Just being nosy.

Firefox 1.1 and Thunderbird 1.1 will be based on the code in 1.8, so
trying out 1.8a6 gives you a sort of preview. On my machine 1.8a6 loads
faster, also renders pages much faster and better.

Many people prefer the suite because browser and email are tightly
integrated and work together flawlessly. With the suite, you also get
Moz Composer for creating webpages, and Chatzilla IRC client.

On my machine, 1.8a6 is more stable and bug-free than 1.7.5.

If I tell you, you must die! :-)

Just kidding. I tried FireFox 1.0, but wanted to use Mozilla Mail
alongside (this was pre-Thunderbird 1.0 launch), but that was
problematic (no integration). So no FireFox.

And FireFox is a only pretty "dumbed-down" version anyway... - don't
flame me now! :-). FireFox 1.0 was based on an eight month old branch
from the source tree. Thats means Mozilla's Gecko renders pages faster
than FireFox. And for an regular advanced function in Mozilla I had to
install an extension in FireFox (don't remember which!). And the
bookmark UI is terrible and a step backward. There was more reasons, but
I don't remember them all now

And the two best extensions (Adblock and ImageZoom) works in the suite.

Oh, I forgot the main reason: I'm very conservative in my ways...! :-)
Been using Mozilla since 0.92 and Netscape before that and like the
classic theme...

I'll second that. Also the E-Mail client works better than my
Thunderbird version 0.7.3.

This is good news, I keep my wife's E-Mail on Thunderbird and mine on
Mozilla. Sometimes images don't work with Thunderbird but display fine
in Mozilla.

I see, I have tried Mozilla, but have always gone back to firefox.

I got to admit that I do not use Thunderbird, I use incredimail for
email and have done for a couple of years now and Gravity for news
groups. I suppose I am one of these people that do not like suits and
prefer to have things separate

Moz Composer for creating webpages, and Chatzilla IRC client.

Composer is not that good, I suppose it is fine for basic stuff.
There was a rumour some time ago, that the suit was going to be
discontinued, but it looks like Mozilla is still working on it.

Today is a good day to die.

I do not like intergration, it is hit and miss sometimes.

I did not find Mozilla any faster than firefox, I do not use extensions,
I do not see any reason to, so that put me out.

When I first came on the internet with a P.C, I used Netscape, the ISP I
started with supplied Netscape.
My brother still uses Netscape, 7 I think it is now. I myself just went
though different browsers and still do, but I seem to come back to
Firefox, it works better for me.
