Happy new year to all.

I have the following problem:
I have to run certain applications on many XP computers in workgroup: since
the configuration of the user profile takes a lot of time (I have to prevent
him to do a lot of things and the desktop has to appear in a certain way) I
would like to know if , after installing all the needed applications, I can
copy the user profile to the new machine.
I think I have to copy some registry key and change the syd of the user but
I don't know how to do it and if this is enough.

Thanks
Giuseppe

You mean single user or you would like all users of the machine to load up
with the same profile at first logon (to that machine)?

Files and Settings Transfer Wizard for the first.
Create a "Default User" profile for the second.

Looking for either of those things (and including "Windows XP" in quotes in
your search as well) should get you on your way - if that is what you need.

Thanks for the suggestions; I didn't think to the Files and Settings
Transfer Wizard tool even if I know it.

I have read the document in the link you sent me; I think it will be useful
for my future questions.

Thanks and an happy new year
Giuseppe
