Hi
We have decided to implement MS Small Business Server 2003. Where as our user name when we were setup as a work group was simply a first name (Tim), with Active Directory our username changes to Firstname.Domainname for example Tim.Londo

What is the easiest way of migrating all the Tim user stuff (Outlook, files etc.) to Tim.Bookshop on the same PC? Is the Files and Settings Wizard the way to go

Thanks very muc

Tim

Just copy the profiles using the interface in System Properties.

I would consider changing your naming convention for your AD user accounts.
Using the domain name makes no sense. AD will already configure a user
principle name for you that consists of username@domainname. Could be
confusing for your users. Also, make sure your domain name is fully
qualified (domainname.com or domainname.local). It will save you headaches
in the future.
