Moving Wins and DHCP

I have two Windows 2000 servers. One server does Wins and the other
server does DHCP. I have to replace both servers and I have to do this
without touching client hardware settings.
What is the best way of doing this? I could get two new servers up and
running using the old IP addresses of the two servers I mentioned
above. But what specific steps do I need to follow? The old servers
are Windows 2000 and the new servers would be Windows 2000. The
clients are all Windows 2000 Pro.
How do I do this?

I'd transfer the old DHCP server to a new one using the Microsoft DHCP
Import and Export Utility first, then wait until all clients have picked up
the new DHCP server (either passively by waiting until their lease renews,
or manually releasing/renewing all clients). When you export from the old
DHCP server you should de-authorize it, when you import onto the new one you
should authorize it. DHCP Import/Export will do this if you let it.

Then I'd bring up the new WINS server and replicate from the old WINS to the
new one. Again, make the necessary changes in DHCP to have clients look at
the new WINS server, wait until they have all renewed their leases and are
seeing the new server, and decommission the old WINS server.

I would NOT try tricks with changing IP addresses of servers - that rarely
works well.
