Everytime after i import a video and when i move a video file into the
timeline... it always gives me the...

'Windows movie maker has encountered a prolem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience'. and it always asks me to send the error report
or dont send or debug. i always keep sending the report.

or sometimes it gives me

at the top it says 'moviemk.exe - Application error' and below it says 'the
instruction at "0x0488c59f" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory
could not be "read".
then it asks to click OK to terminate the program or click Cancel to debug
the program

I can move pictures in my timeline but not videos.
Plus I redownloaded windows movie maker 2 (not 2.1) from download.com to
think it would fix the problem. is there a way I can get 2.1 back and get
this problem video problem solved?
I also system restored my laptop but everytime I try doing that it says
"System Restore Incomplete" and isnt able to restore it to the date I choose
it from.

Please help me...

While your machine is booting up...screen
still black...you should see a blinking cursor
in the upper left corner...just press and hold
F8 until the Safe Mode options pop up.

Make the first choice...Safe Mode...

Sounds like you have system problems
that may be too involved for a newsgroup
band-aid.

Maybe the following article would offer
some ideas:
