Yes, the PST file(s) can be moved but it isn't very intuitive. The easiest
way is to close all e-mail enabled applications (includes PDA, Fax, .etc
software that use Outlook data). Go to the mail applet in the control panel
and select Data Files. Move a copy of the existing path/file to the new
location. Add a reference to the new location and remove the old. OK out
and then select Email Accounts | View\Change accounts and ensure that the
drop down near the bottom is set to the new file. OK out and start Outlook.
At this point you will want to verify that your virtual address books from
contact folders are working. (e.g. names resolve okay when creating a new
message) If they don't you are going to have to cleanup any outdated
entries via options dialog in the address book (open address book, tools |
options).

As a long time user of OE I am accustomed to the ability to relocate the
mail storage to a different partition so the c: drive can be imaged and
later reloaded without losing email. Is this function available in Outlook
XP?
