Moving swap file

Would someone please look at this and let me know what I need to edit so
that my swap file in 2k is not located on the same partition that the OS
is. On 95 and 98 this is a piece of cake but I donot understand what the %
means when used like %system root% etc. I am sorry the image is so junky I
pasted screen shots and then converted to jpg. I guess I over compressed
it. I think if you are familiar with 2k then you will have no problems
understanding the pic.

I usually use 98se and I have a multi OS system. My partitions for the OS
are limited. I purchased Office and installed it to another partition with
no problems, but some of the updates were unsuccessful secondary to the
partition size of the OS. I resized the OS partition and was able to
successfully update Office.

I still need to move the swap file because 2k refuses to defragment the
partition giving me the message that I have 22% free space but only 10%
free for defrag and defrag wants 15% free and to itself to run.

Thank you and if you need me to redo the picture let me know.

.

Right click on 'My Computer' and select Properties.

Select Advanced tab and press the Performance Options
button.

Now press the Change button.

You can now change where your virtual memory (paging file)
is.

Jim, I have been unable to connect to the page you suggested for some
time now. As I use a Charter Pipe Line connection that frequently gets
clogged, especially the dns servers, I thought that this was the problem
but it has continued for days now. I would like to look over the site
again. Do you know if it has been taken down?
