Hi everyone,

I am not sure if this is the group to ask, but who knows.

I am running 2000 Adv and am planning to 'upgrade' (=reinstall) the machine
to 2003.
This will be done by removing the drive with 2000 and insert a new bigger
unit for it.

The machine has 2 HDDs which are converted to dynamic disks and those 2 have
a stripset on them.
Does someone here know if that stripset will picked up by the 2003
installation or will i lose the set anyway?
I am wondering about this because the help for disk management tells me that
dynamic disk are managed by the Disk Management program instead of being
just 'ordinary' disks (what ever that may mean).

Any ideas on this one?

Thank you for your time.

The stripe set will be picked up by Windows Server 2003. Dynamic disks can
be imported between Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 as well as the
stripe set configuration will be maintained during an upgrade.

Best regards,

Frank Szita [MSFT]
