Moving Start menu to top of screen in RC2 causes problem

I like my start menu at the top of my screen and for some reason this behaves
strangely in RC2. (It's been fine in every other build so far)

There is a small frosted (semi-transparent) bar that appears under the start
menu and won't go away. If I drag the start menu larger and then size it back
the bar will stay at the larger size and won't go away. This DOES not happen
at the left right or bottom positions.

Hoping some people can try this out on their RC2 setups and see if they have
this problem as well. Just want to see if it's my machine or not.

Thanks,

Yes, this is a reproducable bug. If you haven't already, you should use the
feedback icon to report it.

Hi,
Yes, I'm having the same problem in RC2. It looks like an Aero glass
maximized-window title bar, without the rest of the window, and without any
writing. You can change its color using "Control
Panel>Personalization>Window Color and Appearance" by clicking on the
different color choices. To get rid of it, I have to drag the taskbar around
the desktop a few times to make it go away. It comes back, though, after
rebooting (but not after hibernating). Another fix is to lower the display
resolution, and then go back to to my native resolution. It's pretty vexing,
since, like you, I like the bar and menu at the top of my desktop; using a
laptop, as I do, most often on my lap, it's more comfortable for me to not
have to look down so much. But this mystery bar stays on top of, and
partially covers, some of my desktop's icons and windows; when a window is
maximized it's especially annoying.

I thought I'd fixed it by upgrading my ATI graphics driver, since the
problem went away for awhile, but it's come back again for reasons unknown....

Hi,

I bugged this after reproducing it when responding to IMIS, and the
developers were able to repro it as well. I received a message late last
night that it was now fixed for RTM.
