Can any one tell if and how to move my shared documents
folder to another drive? Also I am having trouble
setting the rights on my families My Documents folders so
that other family members can't see them. I have had
each of them check the checkbox and the folders are on
NTFS.

You can move the Shared Documents folders using the Tweak UI powertoy,
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp
In Tweak UI go to My Computer - Special Folders, use the drop down menu
to select Shared Documents, then click Change Location, you'll have to
log off and move the files yourself for this to take affect.

I'm not sure exactly what your problem with privatizing folders is but
perhaps you might want to turn off "simple shares", Control Panel>Folder
Options>View last one down, uncheck "use simple file sharing". This may
be more than you bargained for but it gives much more concise and
elaborate control on the security and sharing of files and folders.

I can't remember if XP Home lets you change the simple file sharing, so
that may be inapplicable to you.
