I re-installed xp onto a new hard drive, I wasnt succesful with copying the
old drive to the new drive. I was wopndering if it is possible to take the
saved passwords that are used in iexplorer for websites and copy them to the
new drive?

I do not believe you can move saved passwords. Saved passwords seem
to be linked to the unique "userid" that is generated when you create
a user account under XP>

As for changing drives, you do not "copy" from the older hard drive to
the newer one. Look at "disk cloning" software such as Acronis True
Image.

Eventually, through use on your new hard drive, IE will catch up, but
you will have to enter all the passwords again, or prompt for
reminders from the sites.

Trying to figure out how to get the stuff off an old drive will
probably give you more headaches in the long run.

Then that famous post about "reformat and reinstall" will have some
real meaning for you...
