Moving programme from Win 98 to XP

Hi there:
Is there any thing that you guys know of to move an installed software
completely along with all its DLLs, registry stuff etc. from Win 98SE to XP
and vice versa??

I don't think anything will do that. You'll have to reinstall your apps, and
hope they work under XP. You might find that XP refuses to even try to
install some of them.

I've had more success *running* older programs under XP than
*installing* them. For example, a program may refuse to install
under XP but can run very well under XP's compatibility mode.
(One example of this I found was Intel's microscope software. I
installed on Win98 and moved it to XP.)
 
If you keep a shortcut of the programs in the windows->Desktop and then run
it from windows xp most of the programs run so u don't need to do anything
....
