Is there an easy way to move all my printers/print shares over to a new
server? My current print server is about to quit on me.

Thanks,
Rod.

Sadly, it is a laborious process and I have heard of no easy way to do it.
We just had to rebuild two 150 print share printers, we ghosted one once we
manually built the other (Fault tolerance) and sid walked it. It took days.

try the print migrator from MS
http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsServer2003/techinfo/overview/printmigrator3.1.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...25-CBC9-44DA-B2C9-FFDBC46B0B17&displaylang=en

remember that if you use a new server with a different name your clients
need to update their printer connections.
you could also backup all print stuff using the tool...remove the server
from domain and shutdown the server... install a new server with the same
name as the old one....restore the print stuff

I'm going to try the windows print migrator.

I will have to take a look at this. I have never heard of this and we
suffered.

Thanks Jorge

I'm going to take a look as well. Something new to me.
