Moving ppt from Mac to PC

I've made a PowerPoint presentation on a Mac (OS X). Just images and
sounds which are in linked .aiff files.

Now I burned this on a CD and brought it to a friend, and tried to show
it on his PC running Windows XP. Slide show images and transitions work
but there are no sounds. So I stopped the slide show and doubleclicked
the loudspeaker icon which signifies the sound. The machine claims that
the linked .aiff file cannot be found.

The sound files are on the CD, in exactly the same relation to the
presentation as on the Mac's hard disk. I even copied the entire CD to
the PCs hard disk and tried several configurations, e.g. putting the
sounds in the same catalogue/folder as the presentation. No go.

What could cause this?

it's possibly the fact that you are using a older version of powerpoint than the mac and those aiff files are not on the older version you may be using....i posted too....can u help! im runing windows xp and i have a project due tomoro....ive done half of it so far on the imacs we use at skool (not running osX...dunno wats they're running) but anyway i emailed the file to myself so i could work on it at home and my powerpoint 02 is saying it cannot open it! i need to finish it here and be able to run it againh on the macs at skool!
