How do I move my address book/contacts from Outlook 2000
to 2003?
Because of other problems I was having, I backed up my
entire hard drive. Then I wiped it clean---reformatted
it. Then I loaded all the new Office 2003 applications,
including Outlook. Then I loaded all of my old
documents. I was able to successfully load my outlook
inbox and my personal folders..
But not the contacts/personal address book. When I click
on the book icon I get the following message:
The address list could not be displayed. The contacts
folder associated with this address list could not be
opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not
have permissions.
Thus, I have to find the file on my backups and move it
over. But I don't know what I'm looking for. In the old
days, I could just look for a file with a .pab
extension. But I hear that Outlook doesn't use personal
address books anymore. What would be the name and file
location of the old address book in Outlook 2000 that I
would need to copy and move over? Thanks.
P.S. My OS is Windows XP Home
to 2003?
