I figured this would be an FAQ subject, but I couldn't find it. How do I transfer all of my Outlook 2000 files (contacts, old emails, etc.) from my old computer running Win98, to a newer machine running Win2000 (Outlook 2000 is running on both machines

thanks

Try this page.

http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm

(there is a link in the more information area on how to reconnect the data
file)

Oh I forgot to mention, if you are going to move the *.pst file(s) by means
of CDR or RW, make sure you don't burn the *.pst file any faster than 4x.

Try File->Import and Export... and then export to pst.
Pick the folders you want to export (you may want to
click on the topmost folder to export all)
Then File->Import and Export... on the other machine.
If you have a lot of info, this file could be large so
you may need to write it to a CD.

NO! Do NOT import/export. Just copy the .pst file to the new machine.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Jack asked:
