Is there a way to move the contents and operating system (win2000) of
my c drive (4gb) to my d drive (80gb) without overwriting the data
that is on the d drive, to make it a single drive setup. I have looked
at norton ghost but it looks as if it would overwrite everything.

Cheers

You may wish to visit the support website of the manufacturer of your
new hard drive and see if they have a free utility program that you can use to
accomplish this task. For example, if you have a new Western Digital drive,
you can download their free Data Lifeguard Tools which includes "drive-to-drive
copy capability" (Ref: http://support.wdc.com/download/).

Fujitsu

IBM and Hitachi

Maxtor

Seagate

Or you can purchase Norton Ghost and create an "image"
of your old hard drive:
