How can I move object from one point to another point on a
powerpoint slide. For instance, place a circle in the
lower left of the slide. When the mouse is clicked, I
want the object to move from the lower left position to a
point near the center of the slide

Hi,

You can do this easily in PowerPoint 2002 or 2003, as those versions include
"path" animations. What version do you have?

Thomas,

My apologies. You have told me you have version 2000. The only thing I can
think of is using vba to do it. But it is messy and not easy. Is an upgrade
of version out of the question?

Hi Thomas,

Here's the work-around:

First place the object in the lower left of the slide,
animate it to appear automatically after 0 seconds and
hide on next mouse click.
Next place a copy of the same object in the center of the
slide and animate it to fly (or crawl) from bottom-left on
mouse click.

Make sure the animation order is first copy of the object
then second copy of the object.

Not as good as 2002 or 2003, but it should come close.

HTH,
Glenna

Thanks for this help! Now my boss wants to do it a little
different. Can this be done with the starting point in
the center of the screen. The "new point from there needs
to be about 1 toi 2 inches away (up, down, right, left)?
Still using PowerPoint 2000.
