We have one computer running Office 2000 in which I have entered many "auto correct" entries for shorthand to use in our reports. I want to move the Normal.dot file to a new computer also running Office 2000. Please tell me how to find the file and where to paste it. I have tried a number of tactics to no avail.

I would also like to move my Outlook contact list to the new computer....where is the outlook contact list found and where do I paste it?
Thank you

1) AutoCorrect
AutoCorrect and AutoText are two different things. Look on the MVP site for
a utility that lets you move / share AutoCorrect entries.

That file can be

copied to another computer and imported there. What happens will depend on
the version(s) of Outlook involved. You may end up with an additional
Contacts folder, a replaced Contacts folder, or an augmented (merged)
Contacts folder on the new computer. Also, look into putting the .pst file
on a network drive and sharing it.
