I have a small network.
2 AD, 1 Exchange, 1 internal dns servers and 2 external dns servers and 10
users.
We are moving our office to another location. Our isp is giving us another
IP range
for our internet connections.
To minimize downtime on our emails, what are best options?
1) should I shorten the ttl in external dns servers to point to new IP
during move?
the move will be 3 hours of downtime?
2) should I setup another SMTP server and add a second MX record to
my external dns servers so emails being queued?
if this is feasible, do i need to add accounts to SMTP servers so emails
won't get bounced
back?
3) any other alternative and better way?
TIA
