I am new to Microsoft access. I am entering data into a Form that has already been created. Can I move the fields around two different locations and change the tab order without affecting the database

Example: I have fields date, operator, part number. In the form I want to move the part number field after the data field so it shows as date, part number, operator

Sure you can move the controls.
Click on the control you wish to move. While it has the highlight
square around it, simply left-click and drag the control (and it's
label) wherever you want it.
To move just the control without moving it's attached label, simply
click on the big left hand corner square of either the label or the
control. Now you can drag the one without the other.

The position of the control on the form has no effect on the data
stored in the table.

To change a control's tab order, the easiest way is to right-click on
the little square where the top and left hand rulers meet.
Select Tab order from the drop-down. Select the control in the list by
clicking on the little square to the left of the control name and drag
it up or down as needed.

Good luck.

Of course, simply go into the design view by clicking the
left most button at the top of the page with a set square
and a pencil on it. Once there you can move thigs to your
hearts content, and don't worry the text boxes are preset
with the relevant field on your form and so won't change
unless you deliberatly change them on the properties
screen.
