Does anybody now of a way to move the internet history to a different
partition on the hard drive? I'd like to be able to lock down the C: drive
but still maintain the internet history for a specified amount of time.

Thanks for your help!

You can move the history folder by modifying the path in these two registry
keys.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders

There will be some stuff left in the old History folder (like the index.dat
file) that can be deleted using an Administrator account.

Thanks for the info. I changed the registry paths, but all that is showing
up is the index.dat file. I deleted everything in the old History folder
including the index.dat. Then I went to a few webpages and the index.dat
file shows up in the new History folder, but that's it. I'm either missing
something or not doing something right?

Thanks for your help!
