In express You could simply export and import the account
information, but how do I do with outlook 2000 configured
with a couple of internet e-mail accounts. Can I somehow
export & import them as well or is there some file that
needs to be copied to the new computer?

Patrik Gisselsson

Find your Outlook.pst files and copy them up to a
disk/drive. Once you have the new comp. set up, import
the PST file through the Wizard.

The messages I know can be imported that way, but I need
the servernames, usernames and passwords?

Is this transfer wizard require hardware (i.e. networking the computers?) or
is there another way?
:)
thanks!

Why not use the File Setting and Transfer Wizard.................I
assume you are using Windows XP on both machines. If so, that is the way to
go.................It is a real slick way to transfer nearly anything from
one computer to another.

I just stopped a file and transfer that was in progress. Now I have no pst files.... I new better than to stop it as it was backing things up but, I was impatient.... 4 hours later, I don't have a backup and the pst's are bye bye baby bye bye. My advice? Do a backup before anything else.
