I have an ASUS P4P800 deluxe motherboard using the VIA VT6410 RAID
controller with two WD1200JB hard drives in a RAID 0 configuration. I
should have know better, but in my haste to setup my PC four months ago, I
put both hard drives on channel 0 in a master slave setup. Does anyone know
if the array will remain intact if I move the slave drive on channel 0 to
the master drive on channel 1 to improve performance?

Thanks

Performance may not improve as much as you think.
Only on random access reads will performance improve but
on random access there isn't much performance to begin with.

Writes go to the buffer/cache so seeking doesnt delay access to
the other drive anyway.
