Moving Files

Currently I have my files on a computer other than this
one, the one I play them on. I need to rebuild the other
computer so I want to move the files to this computer
without losing the genres and other info I have keyed in.
How can I do that?

I was doing that also. You need to get a crossover

cable or something like that. Its a cat5 type cable. If
youre building it yourself the send and recieve need to
be opposite on the other end of the cable. After that
you should be able to share that folder. You need to
have both computers on the same Default gateway addresses
and subnet mask but different IP addresses. i.e.
123.123.123.1 and the other 123.123.123.2

A third party program for burning such as Roxio's Easy CD
Creator or Nero will copy the files with all supporting
info to a CD then you can re-copy them to the other PC.
