I have a small hard drive (C) and it’s almost full. Can I cut & paste files
from C to another internal drive (E)? I know if I move software I may have
to reinstall it but what about files like JAVA or Dell Drivers that seem to
take up allot of space.

As a general rule should I uninstall it on C then re-install it on E? Or
will cut & paste be fine? Can I just delete JAVA and download it on E?

Btw, I have Windows XP

Thanks,
Eric

In general, if a program has an installer/uninstaller, use them. Never copy
the files to a new location. Just looking at an executable, you cannot
possibly know if there are registry settings that the installer created that
will not be changed by your moves.
