My daughter has a game on my computer the sims which was
originally installed on drive c. My hard drive is a
split drive with c and d drives on it. can i move the
sims folder to drive d without any problems or do i have
to make other modifications when i do this. every time i
try to drag or mve the folder xp tells me that some
programs may not work after moving the folder. thanks in
advance for the answers
..

It's a case of suck it and see. Try it (you can always move it back), if it complains about not finding files that haven't been moved, search for them and copy them into the program's directory. If it complains about not finding files that were moved (in sub folders) then the registry needs editing. You are probably best moving it back.

you will need to reinstall the program in order for it to
work on another drive letter
