moving favorites

I saved favorites from old computer on a cd & a floppy.I
cannot get them into favorites on new computer with XP. I
tried file transfer wizard, but it keeps asking to insert
disk.

If you moved the FAVORITES folder to the CD/floppy: simply try to copy
the shortcuts into the new FAVORITES folder under C:\DOCUMENTS AND
SETTINGS\{username}.
 
I've transfered my favorites with no problems from Win98se
to Win XP by coping the short-cuts "first" to any folder
(My Recieved Files, My Documents, or where-ever...) on my
hard drive and then coping/dragging and dropping them into
ALL instances of the Favorite's Folders in XP (Admin/All
Users/Guests/etc) I believe you must have them listed in
at least two of the three (Admin and All Users)
