What is the best way to move my "favorites" into my new computer. I am
moving from Windows 98 to Windows XP. Both browers are I.E. 6.0

You can export your Favorites to a backup medium via IE File>Import and
Export>Export>Favorites and then import them from the medium into IE/WinXP
via IE File>Import and Export>Import>Favorites.

You can include Favorites with other files and settings using WinXP's FAST
Wizard. See this helpful page by MS MVP Gary Woodruff:

Sorry it took so long, thank you for the help, that
process works fine, however I was hoping there was a way
to set up a share folder (the favorites folder) and allow
all pc's and laptop to have that same favorites folder as
the default favorites folder for all PC. this would allow
everyone to see the same favorites and add it and all on
the network would see the new favorites at the same time,
within that favorites folder each PC/laptop would be able
to sreat there folder where no one but them can delete it.
is short one favorites for everyone in real time sharing
(no exporting of folder and inporting to other PC, and
within tha master favorites folder each PC would control
there folder with there personal favorites and there with
here controle.
Thanks again for your help

Unfortunately the equivalent Boolean search on the Support site
doesn't find that article; however, the equivalent Google web search
(all results) does find it:
