Hello - have a new computer. What, please, is the BKM
for moving IE Favorites from my old machine (IE 5+,
WinME) to new machine (IE 6, WinXP)? old machine has
floppy, new one doesn't. thanks in advance, Bruce

If you have a yahoo account, myYahoo.com has a feature
that allow you to inport your favorites and export them.
Try this feature out or get some free space online (online
storage) and place your file there for migration back to
your new pc.
It should work.

Don't know "BKM", but the usual procedure is to use IE's File menu,
import and export. Since you can't use a floppy for the transfer, put
the resulting bookmark.htm somewhere on your old hard drive, then
email it to yourself as an attachment. In the new machine, use the
same IE File\import function to install it.

OR you can zip your favorites file, email it to yourself, then unzip
it to c:\documents and settings\yourname\ being careful not to end up
with a D&S\yourname\favorites\favorites subfolder like I did.

(Even if your new computer hasn't a floppy drive, it's a good idea to
keep a copy of your favorites on a floppy as a backup. Awful things to
lose.)
