Outlook rules don't convert mail message to appointments automatically. You
should be able to make a rule to move the item, but it will still be a
message, not an appointment.

last 4 days, but I'm back. The conditions for the rule are easy. It's just
set up to move a copy of an email if it see the word (Event) in the subject
line over to a calender I created called vacation. Like I said before this
has worked for years. One thing I did not tell you is that My I.T. guy
deleted my email account on accedent and then created it again and that's
when my trouble started, in fact all my rules stoped working and I had to
del. all of them and recreate them.

That makes slightly more sense, but it doesn't explain what the exact
problem is that you're trying to solve (or what version of Outlook you're
using). You can test whether the rule is firing at all by adding some other
action to it, like setting a category.

and then invites all the personel that have this rule set up on their
machine, so it is an appontment to start with. After the email witch is the
carrier for the appontment is recieved, the rule then moves it or a copy to
the vacation calender. I hope this makes sence!!!!still beautomatically. YouScott
