Moving email from one computer to another

I'm trying to move my email on my old computer (Windows Mail, Vista) to my
new computer (Windows Live Mail, 7). I have read numerous posts and replies
and nothing I've tried has worked for me. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks.
