I receive a majority of my e-mails from one sender. Can they automatically be
moved to a folder on my desktop or a folder on one of my harddrives?

Email Client?

Post this question in the appropriate N/G (Outlook/Outlook express/non MS
Mail Client) then you'll get an answer - don't know how to go to folder
automatically but you can create a folder in your email client then use the
email clients rules - under TOOLS.

Something tells me that if Shenan posted his question "Email Client?"
elsewhere and out of context, the OP wouldn't get much benefit. ;-)

In Oulook you can create a PST file in any local hard drive
directory/folder, then in Outlook use that personal file, then you can use
rools to move/copy to that file (folders within Outlook). OE does create
seperate files in the same directory but these are for IMAP and HTTP mail
servers. Don't know if you can create a seperate file manually in OE.

I assume that your intent is to separate mail from that sender from other
mail. You don't say what E-mail client you use, but most E-mail clients let
you create separate folders and write a rule to move particular classes of
messages to those folders as desired. That technique effectively makes
multiple inboxes for you, and automatically sorts mail to the appropriate
inbox as it arrives That's probably the easiest thing for you to do to
accomplish what you want.

Moreover , if your E-mail client doesn't have that capability, in my view
that should be grounds for changing E-mail clients. To me that capability is
a very useful and important one.
