I have a client with a custom 97 access database that was
made to run from a server and allow workers to access the
data and input data via a web based page generated from an
asp file. They have since gotten a new machine and when
we moved the complete folder with all databases, asp
files, etc.. we were unable to access the data.. if you
look in the address bar of the browser on the web based
input and access pages.. it's looking for
http://theipaddress(of the previous
machine)/General_Listing/ I have looked for a default
page in the General_Listing folder and have found none..
If I simply try to change the IP address to that of the
machine the files are currently on.. that doesn't work
either.. any suggestions?

That was my thought as well.. already tried that.. didn't
seem to help.. only problem there was that it removed
their internet connection (they have a T1)..the DNS was
already set for their service provider.. when I changed it
they no longer could get on the Internet and I still
couldn't access the database.. their previous server was
NT and set up as a server (with workstations) they have
since changed to Windows XP on the new machine and more of
a peer to peer configuration.. could this be part of the
problem?
