OK, I got to my contact. I found it in a different personal folder and
moved under the contacts in the first personal folder. Now under "My
Contacts", I have
Contacts
Contacts1 (I had to rename it)
I made the necessary option changes so that email checks contact1 for
adresses. However, when I get a new email from a new contact and I right
click on the adress and choose the option to Add to the contact list, instead
of saving it to the Contacts1, it saves it to the Contact. I then move it to
the Contacts1 but when I am sending an email, I click on the adrs book icon
on the TO: line, the contact isn't there even though it is there when I look
in contacts1 alone.
Can you tell me how to just get a Contacts folder or get all the contacts
from Contacts1 to Contacts.. Or, how do I get that contact to be seen by
email?
Confused here;

Then you are not opening the correct file. If this is the file to which
you exported and Outlook did not complete the export successfully, then
I would expect that file to have no Contacts. Wouldn't you?
There is never any need to export Outlook data for use in another
installation. You should have just copied the original PST file and
opened that. Hopefully, you still can.

I moved it to the new computer and then I went to File->Open-> data file and
then went to the Outlook data file. It opened it(at least it looks like it
did) but no contacts appear in the contact section.

Provide at least some information please.
How exactly did you try to "open the contacts" and what happened?

Outlook 200o hangs up when I try to export. I located the pst file and
moved
it to the new computer. But when I tried to open the contacts, nothing.
Is
there any way to get my contacts.
