Does anyone know if its possible to mail the entire
contacts folder from one PC to another. I have tried it
and can send & receive the file, but cannot open it. Is it
possible to do this? Am I doing something wrong?

You have tried what? You would need to export the Folder to a PST file and
email that. That may be a rather large attachment.

Simple (do this all the time for new PC setps at work)...
open your contact folder... select all of your contacts
(ctrl-a) and right click the highlighted names... now
select forward as vcard... you will get one email that
you could mail to yourself... attached will be all of
your contacts vcards... after you setup your email
account on the second PC, open that email (with the
attached vcards) and select all the vcards (cntrl-a) and
drag and drop them into your contact folder on the new PC

Done... simple... and no huge pst file to deal with...

another way would be to export your contact list as
a .csv file and mail that file to yourself (or drop it on
a network share, CD, etc.) and then import that file into
outlook on the new PC...

yet again... simple, yet this method requires that the
import/export function of outlook be installed (read as
need install disk and admin rights)...

hope that helps
